Ex Tomatonia now Tra Vigne.  Good Chewy pizza base but cheese on magarita ain't mozzarella.  So I say it is pre good pizza for american.

Wow Chromed out Audi R8. Only who can afford decent car wash can sport this kind of finish. Lux.

Porsche Panamera. It is the 1st 4 door Porsche sold. I bet they did a few study before but this is the 1st to be sold in roadcar form. Might be OK looking but the treatment underneath the headlamp, the sharp edge looks funny to me.

Beautiful cove at Santa Cruz

Pelicans at Santa Cruz

The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell. Basically it is about how word of mouth can explode hype. Hush Puppy and Airwalk story in the beginning was interesting but in the end, it became a bit of advertising thus end evaluation is so-so.

Poweryacht called the Code-X. I have seen similar tasted but larger Yacht design. Nevertheless this is sublime. I wonder why geometrical shape looks good on Yacht which mainly interface with water which is very fluid thus organic...

I love this simple Mustang design.

BlOckberry. Cracked me up.

The International 2009. Clive is as usual. Naomi acted very poorly. Story wise kind a interesting in the beginning but dull toward ends. No point in plot. if you want to plot as "bad keep prospering" there got to be different squeeze toward the end. $9.

Chaya Brasserie in LA. Scallop in crispy thingy was good.

Full of Life Flatbread Pizza.
It is a bit diffrent from Italian Pizza and a lot different from American. Love it. The one to get is "Central Coast Sausage: Pork in a Housemade Maple&Fennel Sausage, Sun-dried Tomatoes, Onions, Mushroom, Cheese&Fresh Garden Herbs" I could eat so many.

SLS hotel in LA. Stark and some rich dude collaboration. It is like any other design hotel. Drink was nice. Shampoo bottles keep falling off from the rack whenever closes shower door. Low IQ design. $300.

Sunset Marquis hotel in LA. from the outside and near the pool, it is just an ordinarily cheap hotel/motel but inside goes deep and see some nice touches.

i just like this kind of approach.

cardboardsurfcomp.jpg

When Mike Sheldrake had to retire his 8'6" Robert August Board after 13 years, instead of buying a new one, he set out to see what he could do himself. Though "foams have been structurally adequate and affordable for surfboards", incorporating "cheap and preferably natural materials" was a central part of his initial objective. By developing a structural approach that he calls "the quarter isogrid", ribs can be cut from sheet stock, allowing many alternative and composite materials to be used. Once the board is assembled, the final touch is to glass it with a pre-soaked fiberglass sheet.

Check out the wonderfully thorough description of his process here, and don't forget to check out his site for the boards.

A few more pics after the jump...
